Last week’s paycheck was originally supposed to go towards buying a new layptop, but that idea was soon pushed when Mark convinced me to NOT be refurbished and to just buy it brand new. Instead I spent $495 on my Xbox 360.
– $356 – XBox 360 w/4 games (includes shipping) (Each game averages $50 a piece, and the system is premium and is regularly $349.99)
– $51 – Halo 3 (Normally $59.99)
– $50 – 2 Netgear Ethnernet Adapters (normally $99 at Best Buy)
– $35 – XBox Live Gold Subscription for 13mos (normally $49.99)
The one thing I still really want to buy for myself is a new laptop for work. But I just don’t want to spend anymore money than I really need to. I’ve spent so much in the past few months it’s really disgusting. I know I make enough at work to spend it all without a care, but I should have been saving up for either my new car (Scion) or for a security deposit/first month’s rent for an apartment.
I suppose I felt like splurging on myself because I have lived my life so frugally since I moved out of my parents house in the beginning of 2005. I passed up on so many things because I just couldn’t afford it. Right now I’m getting rid of the stuff I never use (makeup, xbox, linksys router, 35mm) and hopefully I can put that money in a savings account to just let it sit there, so I don’t end up spending it.
I know I can manage my money. It’s just so fucking tempting to buy something when I know I have the money. I mean, look at this.. lol

Oh well.. I should head out to run to some stores to return some stuff I bought a few weeks ago. Haven’t worn it yet, and won’t (I got it for going out) so getting that $55 back will be nice. I want to do something tonight. I haven’t called anyone about plans, and I sure as hell didn’t ask Mark. I’ve come to the conclusion that he might not want to really see me anymore.. and prefers to just talk online.. Fucking asshole. But whatever.
